Synopsis

From author and psychotherapist Dr. Brian Weiss comes the classic New York Times bestseller on the true case of the past-life therapy that changed the lives of both the prominent psychiatrist and young patient involved—now featuring a new afterword by the author.

As a traditional psychotherapist, Dr. Brian Weiss was astonished and skeptical when one of his patients began recalling past-life traumas that seemed to hold the key to her recurring nightmares and anxiety attacks. His skepticism was eroded, however, when she began to channel messages from the “space between lives,” which contained remarkable revelations about Dr. Weiss’ family and his dead son. Using past-life therapy, he was able to cure the patient and embark on a new, more meaningful phase of his own career. With more than one million copies in print, Many Lives, Many Masters is one of the breakthrough texts in alternative psychotherapy and remains as provocative and timeless as it was when first published.

I have to admit, this book has changed my way of thinking and eased some of my fears about death. This really opened my mind to what life could be like after death. If not anything else, this book is a MUST read for someone struggling with the loss of a loved one. Great book, fascinating story, page turner! I hated going to bed at night because I didn't want to put the book down!

I read this book in 2 days, I couldn't put it down. I always thought that past lives were a possibility, but never gave it much thought. Besides being more of a believer, it really was encouraging and peacful to read. I would love to read more like it.

Wow! This book was INCREDIBLE!!! It's now one of my favorites; I read it in only two days! I would totally recommend it to anybody, adults and older kids. It's about a woman who goes to a therapist to get help with her anxiety and phobia problems. The therapist (whose point of view the book is told......more

P......more

Well this book is about Dr. Brian Weiss of Yale who's a very logical person untill he met catherine, the patient who was depressed, tried to hypnotised her into her childhood so as to know the cause of trauma , how she goes beyond that....into many of her pervious lifetimes, ho......more

Sorry Darlene & John... It took too long to get me to shake my initial impression of the ego centrism of Dr. Weiss. I'm certain he is a nice guy, a competent doctor, and a compassion human being. But, as I stated in our discussion while I was reading, my interpretation is that the book feels more abo......more
