I wanted to like this, I really did. I loved Vizzini's It's Kind of a Funny Story. I love coming of age stories. I love the fantasy genre. So this book was an easy sell to me. This was such a great book for the slightly geeky boy who is into RPGs (and possibly a fan of "The Big Bang Theory").
