Synopsis

Many years ago, the storytellers say, the great King Arthur brought justice to England with the help
of his gallant Knights of the Round Table.

King Arthur’s Knights were brave like Sir Lancelot the Great. They were smart like Sir Givret the Short. But they didn’t always act quite as . . . gallantly as a true knight should. Even King Arthur’s nephew, known at that time as Sir Gawain the Undefeated, was too full of himself to accept a token of thanks from a rescued princess! Someone, like a giant Green Knight, needed to teach Sir Gawain that courtesy and friendship are just as important as strength and courage. Come ride along on this exciting yearlong quest of Sir Gawain the Undefeated-but-who-may-learn-a-lesson-along-the-way, as only the acclaimed Arthurian author Gerald Morris can tell it.

About The Author

Gerald Morris loves to visit the world of knights and chivalry in his books, but he’d rather not live there. He’s much happier living in the twenty-first century in Wausau, Wisconsin. Gerald is also the author of ten books in The Squire’s Tales series.

A bit odd but love the strong message of honor that is taught in this book. “Let your yes be yes...” The lessons in character throughout are rare among children’s books. The humor is comical and there is a bit of a twist at the end.......more

I haven't read the original so I can't compare them, but this was fantastic. Educational and teaches a good moral. My kids and I both enjoyed the humor and we flew through this book. We'll definitely read the others in this series.......more
