Our friend Smokey the Bear must have been grieved over the grizzly bear crisis in Glacier National Park in the 1960's. In August 1967 in Glacier National Park, two young women in separate campgrounds were mauled to death on the same night by different grizzly bears. And there were many other aggressive grizzly bear behaviors that summer. It was determined the cause was people leaving food and trash all over the park......more
