Margaret Peterson Haddix grew up on a farm in Ohio. She worked as a newspaper reporter and copy editor in Indiana before her first book, Running Out of Time, was published. She has since written more than fifty books for kids and teens, including the Greystone Secrets series, the Shadow Children series, the Missing series, the Children of Exile series, and lots of stand-alones. I have enjoyed Margaret Peterson Haddix's time-travel series for middle grade. Some of the books I've liked better than others, but, for the most part, I've enjoyed each one. 5 stars This is one of my favorites in the series so far, perhaps because I'm a huge nerd and I loved that Albert Einstein was in this book. But even better, he wasn't the star of the show--it was his first wife Mileva, who I had heard of, but who really shines in this book as an intelligent scientis......more
Ok, but could be better. Still wildly confused about the rules of time travel. It seems as though Margie is bending her previously established rules to create a "more interesting" plot and me no likey.......more

This may be my favorite so far. I've never been terribly interested in Einstein or physics before but this book made it fascinating. A great book for kids who don't particularly enjoy math and science. For adults there are some tongue in cheek comments in there that only older readers will understan......more
