Elisa Sabatinelli is the author of The Secret of the Magic Pearl, several short stories, and a novel for adults. Born in Fano, Italy, and raised in Barcelona, Spain, she lives with her husband and two children in Milan.

Iacopo Bruno has illustrated hundreds of book covers and children’s books. His work has received recognition from the Society of Illustrators in New York, the Cook Prize, the Texas Bluebonnet Award, and the California Young Reader Medal. When he’s not drawing, he takes his boat out in search of dolphins and, if the weather is bad, restores paintings and antique furniture in his cellar full of tools and curiosities. Carlotta Brentan is a Meisner-trained actor and an award-winning audiobook narrator and producer who has worked in theater, film, commercials, and voiceover. A proud graduate of the three-year conservatory training program at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and of the Academy Theatre Company, she is originally from Italy but is currently based in New York.
