About E. A. Wyke-Smith
Edward Augustine Wyke-Smith (1871–1935) was an English writer. An engineer and adventurer, his many exploits included working as a cowboy, managing mines across the world, and building a pontoon bridge across the Suez canal during World War I. In the 1920s, he began writing children's fantasy stories, at first largely for his own children and then later for wider audiences, including adults. He is best known for his novel The Marvellous Land of Snergs.
About George Morrow
George Morrow (1869–1955) was a cartoonist and book illustrator. Born in Belfast, Ireland, to painter George Morrow and his wife, Catherine, he was one of eight children. His work was widely published in magazines such as Strand Magazine, Radio Times, and, most notably, Punch, which published 2,704 of his cartoons.
