Synopsis

About Trina Schart Hyman

Trina Schart Hyman (1939-2004) was a very shy child, and was afraid of many things. Her love of drawing was developed early in her childhood. She played fantasy games with her sister, Karleen, and drew a lot. She studied at Philadelphia Museum College of Art. She was a winner of the Horn Award for King Stork. She illustrated over 150 children's books.

About Erin Yuen

Erin Yuen has recorded over twenty audiobooks and DVDs, including short-story collections, romance novels, and children's books. She teaches undergraduate theatre classes at Siena Heights University as well as acting classes for their afterschool program. In addition to teaching, she performs, directs, and coaches acting students in the southeastern Michigan/northwestern Ohio area. She holds a BFA in musical theatre from the University of Michigan and lives with her family in southeastern Michigan.

This has beautiful artwork with panes on the page with story similar to Jan Brett. There is also a main paige of just artwork. It is beautiful work. Where do I start? With the bad: I was most disturbed by Hansel and Gretel as a child, but I was disturbed by many, many fairy tales, and Little Red Riding Hood was one of them. I felt anxiety as I was reading this, even as an adult. I object to wolves always being depicted as bad and evil and villain......more
