About Kevin Henkes

Kevin Henkes has been praised both as a writer and as an illustrator and is the recipient of the Children’s Literature Legacy Award for his lasting contribution to literature for children. I actually found it pretty terrible. This poor child has constant anxiety and the parents just dismiss her with “stop worrying”. The solution was to find a friend to play with, and that didn’t look at the root cause of the problem.......more
