Synopsis

The fairy-tale detectives set out to rescue their parents in The Problem Child, the third book in Michael Buckley’s beloved New York Times bestselling Sisters Grimm series.

For Sabrina and Daphne Grimm, the latest in a long line of fairy-tale detectives, there is one mystery they want to solve above all others: Who kidnapped their parents? Sabrina finds the secret hideaway of the Scarlet Hand, the sinister group of Everafters who are holding her parents captive, and she has a chance to rescue their mom and dad. But her plan is foiled by the most famous fairy-tale character in the world. How can a human child defeat a magic one? With the help of her little sister (who is a lot tougher than Sabrina realizes) and a long-lost relative, Sabrina finds a powerful weapon … but discovers that magic comes at a high price.

The beloved Sisters Grimm series is the perfect opportunity for existing fans to revisit the adventures of the Grimm family and for new readers to discover the magic of the series for the first time.

“Kids will love Sabrina and Daphne’s adventures as much as I did.”—Sarah Michelle Gellar, star of Buffy the Vampire Slayer

As a kid, I read these books as they were being written and published. Now, I’m reading them to my 6-year-old son. Sharing these stories with him enhances the experience. This had the best mystery yet! Though I remembered who the “bad guy” was right at the beginning, since I read these as a child, I was still enthralled with the mystery & the crazy time traveling things that occurred! This book also made me love the characters even more! Definitely one of my favorites......more

I don’t think I appreciated it as much as a kid—I can see why, especially with the ending—but wow, this one was fas......more

Buckley added some good characters in this, especially at the end, and have made me excited for some already known characters. I just keep waiting for the twis......more
