Gertrude Chandler Warner was born in 1890 in Putnam, Connecticut, where she taught school and wrote The Boxcar Children because she had often imagined how delightful it would be to live in a caboose or freight car. One of the best books they've released the past few years. 135 kept me on the edge of my seat and interested. I know a bit about authentic Wild West history, and was really disappointed when they used flashy colors. Which is not what cowboys and cowgirls wore back then.......more
