What if the tales from the Old Testament and other ancient writings, such as those from Sumer, Babylon, Egypt, and Greece, were not myths or allegory but accounts of actual historical events? Known for his ability to read and interpret ancient Sumerian and Akkadian clay tablets, Zecharia Sitchin (1920-2010) took the words of our most ancient ancestors as fact and, through decades of meticulous research, showed that they revealed a coherent narrative about the true origins of humanity and civilization. Drawing both widespread interest and criticism, his Earth Chronicles series of books, beginning with The 12th Planet, detailed how humanity arose after the arrival of the Anunnaki (“those who from Heaven to Earth came”), alien “gods” who created modern man in their own image and imparted gifts of civilizing knowledge.

Providing an insider’s look into the decades of research behind Zecharia Sitchin’s complete works as well as an in-depth overview of his theories, this collection includes carefully selected chapters from the Earth Chronicles series as well as never-before-published letters, articles, and lectures. We learn about the genesis of The 12th Planet in “The Book as a Story,” the Sumerians and their Anunnaki influences in “The Sudden Civilization,” the orbit of Nibiru in “UFOs, Pyramids, and the 12th Planet,” the prehistory of the Americas in “Cities Lost and Found,” the extraterrestrial origins of modern man in “The Cosmic Connection--DNA,” and much more. We get to read never-before-published lectures, culled from Sitchin’s decades of presentations, as well as the article that spurred the writing of There Were Giants Upon the Earth.

Each piece includes an introduction by Sitchin’s niece, offering context and insight into Sitchin’s passionate work. These introductions reveal the man behind the theories, a world traveler known for his scholarship, dry humor, and precisely chosen words. If his theories are true, as Sitchin wholeheartedly believed, then this collection presents some of the most important knowledge we have of our origins and future.

About Zecharia Sitchin

Zecharia Sitchin (1920-2010), an eminent Orientalist and biblical scholar, was born in Russia and grew up in Palestine, where he acquired a profound knowledge of modern and ancient Hebrew, other Semitic and European languages, the Old Testament, and the history and archaeology of the Near East. A graduate of the University of London with a degree in economic history, he worked as a journalist and editor in Israel for many years prior to undertaking his life’s work--The Earth Chronicles. One of the few scholars able to read the clay tablets and interpret ancient Sumerian and Akkadian, Sitchin based The Earth Chronicles series on the texts and pictorial evidence recorded by the ancient civilizations of the Near East. His books have been widely translated, reprinted in paperback editions, converted to Braille for the blind, and featured on radio and television programs.

Impossible happens when " Faith meets face to face with the Reality". It is a dangerous path, but a path where everything known, exists right before that first step. What awaits with each right and left foot motion? Is Mankind's greatest weakness, ( Fear ). Some where along this path a combination of fear and faith will be that dangerous action. I call this the moment: When the Blind Faith meets the Reality and the path is connected, it holds truth, and yet the Faith which has been leading to this reality, a reality which faith mirrors and why the word faith can hold so many on a path, a path to the reality that the faith holds. ( But face to face- Mankind will choose " Blind Faith, then reality of the path, suddenly becomes that target labeled the impossible. ) Man will see only the impossible, but the path, was always a path known for the truth, the reality and all is possible. ( Blind Faith is the action which takes place by those whom held faith and now when faith meets the reality? The mirror is impossible. Faith turns away from the EXACT very things which the path is about. ) Mankind will hold more weight in blind faith and shout impossible to the reality behind the faith. ( Fear is Mankind's greatest weakness. ) It is also a reflection of the Language of Mankind. All those beyond this planet know how dangerous Mankind is. They know Mankind's language. Mankind can not even solve their own language barriers. So without knowing the Language of GOD, how could man ever expect to know? They all just think they know. ( The language barrier is what will be - All foundations will fall, event. ) I want to make a personal comment: ( Zecharia Stichin- that conversation which was needed, you just left too soon. ) I am Waldo. I am Oddsone. I am who I am, Salt Water. ( It would have been a kodak moment that conversation. You having all your foundations and myself having foundations. ) That - Equal known value which must take place between two. Shared equal known value. ( Value known ) Thanks! ( Fear was not your weakness! Odds of all that? ) I am alone on a planet not my own. Surrounded by billions whom think they know, but they just think they know, but they know nothing. " Where is Waldo? " It was written and served purpose. Anyway nobody read these words. Those that perhaps read these words will be quick to reveal their intelligence. But perhaps odds are there is someone inside your tiny circle whom reads these words. ( Here is where that right foot, left foot thinking process takes place. ) Status upon a box top for all to see --Means nothing! But a whisper from low places can ripple a tidal wave upon all foundations. --Had a funny visual. A planet ( H.R. PUFF N STUFF ) Nothing is ever a random event. " Step out of the line. All you see is hindsight 20/20 perfect vision of that brown eye between two moons just like all the others." I am the fool. I have 384 degrees of vision. Have a great day!

I bought this book as a primer on Sitchin's work, not wanting to invest the requisite time in the entire Earth Chronicles series in order to understand his cosmogony. On this front, I was not disappointed. While the book could be organized slightly better, it provides a thorough overview of Sitchin'......more

Sitchin's historical knowledge is impressive and his writing and speaking styles are entertaining, concise and informative. Then his theories get "out there." He makes you want to believe but really, I need the empirical evidence attached; the actual texts he references, translated and categorized w......more

“It is almost impossible to quantify the effect that Zecharia Sitchin had on our understanding of the origins of our species and the mysterious activity of the Anunnaki on planet Earth.
