Orion Jean was named TIME Magazine’s 2021 Kid of the Year. His amazing accomplishments include donating over half a million books to children, collecting over 100,000 meals for the food insecure, and now he is the author of a second children’s book, Race to Kindness. Orion lives with his family in Mansfield, Texas.

About Darshika Varma

Born and raised in Mumbai, Darshika Varma holds a BFA in applied arts. After starting her career as a designer in digital marketing, she found her true calling as a children’s illustrator. Her previous books include Holi Hai! and The Turtle and the Geese. When not illustrating, Darshika can usually be found curled up with a book.
