This is my book buddy's favorite book so we read it together. The story was frankly boring and didn't teach a very meaningful life lesson, BUT it did teach some great vocabulary and is fun for kids who like horses. Not a classroom must-have, but I can see some kids enjoying this easy reader.......more

My main complaints with this book are that it gives an unrealistic expectation to young riders and that the riding instructor is endangering the training of the green pony by putting an inexperienced rider on her.
