Melva Mapletree and the Great Undoing

Melva Mapletree is an 11-year-old girl who lives with her Grandpa Pebble in their cosy cottage on Speckled Lane. For as long as she can remember, Melva has struggled with worries and anxiety (or “worrits”, as they’re known in her world), but with the help of those around her, she’s managed to keep them (just about) under control. But now, as she edges closer to twelve-ness, those worrits are starting to feel bigger, squirmier, and harder to ignore. Strange new feelings, shifting friendships, and a desperate longing for the mother who left years ago pull Melva into choices she never thought she’d make.As long-buried secrets are unearthed, Melva must set out on a daring adventure; one that could unravel her biggest worrit of all…“Well written, moving, humorous, emotionally honest. Many children will immediately relate to Melva and her world. I really enjoyed reading this book!”David Almond, award-winning children's fantasy novel writer"I am so in love with this book.
