About Loretta Ellsworth

Loretta Ellsworth grew up in Mason City, Iowa. A former teacher and a graduate of Hamline University with a master's degree in writing for children, she is the award-winning author of several young adult novels. She has four children and six grandchildren and lives in Lakeville, Minnesota. Stars Over Clear Lake is her first novel for adults.

It's a nice book. I'm really annoyed by books that rely so heavily on great works of fiction. It seems like they are just using it for a crutch. Fun, easy read. Probably a 3.75 but I rounded it up to a 4. Loved that it talked about Perryville, Cape Giraurdeau, Sikston, and my home town of Jackson, Missouri.
