About The Author

E. Nesbit was a prolific English author, editor, and poet. Throughout her career, she penned or contributed to more than sixty works of fiction, poetry, picture books, and compilations of literature, although her primary success came from her children’s books. She died in 1924, possibly due to lung cancer.

Just finished reading this with my student over a couple year period. He drew posters or pictures of the characters and plot while I read. He loves Shakespeare and this book helped a lot along with my own love of Shakespeare :) My student wants to read all the rest of the plays now!......more

We slowly worked our way through this all school year and the boys loved it. The language is challenging but not too hard, and a couple plays we read twice to really soak in the story. I own an old discarded library copy with the loveliest illustrations. I’m sure we’ll read this again in the future.......more
