Louisa May Alcott (1832–1888) was an American author and abolitionist, best known for her novel Little Women . Born in Germantown, Pennsylvania, she grew up in a family deeply engaged in transcendentalist ideals, influenced by thinkers like Emerson and Thoreau. Despite financial struggles, Alcott pursued writing to support her family, publishing stories, poems, and novels. Her semi-autobiographical works often explored themes of family, morality, and women’s roles in society. Beyond fiction, she was a staunch advocate for women’s rights and abolitionism. Alcott’s enduring legacy lies in her ability to blend realism with timeless lessons about love, resilience, and self-discovery.
Audiobook narrator Cecily White earned her degrees in Theater and Biblical Studies while attending classes from New York City to “old” York, England. She specializes in narrating Christian romance and makes her home in California.

I loved it when I was young, reread it many ti......more
