Synopsis

“My name is Harriet Manners, and I have always been a geek.” The fourth book in the award-winning GEEK GIRL series. Harriet Manners knows many things. She knows that toilet roll was invented by the Chinese in 600 AD. She knows that a comet’s tail always points away from the sun. And she knows that the average healthy heart beats 70 times per minute. Even when it’s broken. But she knows nothing about making new friends at Sixth Form. Or why even her old friends seem to be avoiding her. And she knows even less about being a glittering supermodel success. Which she now is – apparently. Has Harriet’s time to shine like a star finally arrived, or is she about to crash and burn?

About Holly Smale

Holly Smale was unexpectedly spotted by a top London modeling agency at the age of fifteen and spent the following two years falling over on catwalks, going bright red, and breaking things she couldn't afford to replace. By the time she had graduated from Bristol University with a BA in English Literature and an MA in Shakespeare, she had given up modeling and set herself on the path to becoming a full-time writer. Geek Girl was the #1 bestselling young adult fiction title in the UK in 2013. It was shortlisted for several major awards, including the Roald Dahl Funny Prize. Holly currently lives in London, England.

I really like Emily and Adrienne in the 1st one, but I wasn't too thrilled about Kara. That translated well into the 2nd book where we hav......more

I read the first book way back in third grade, (roughly 2005), and when I found out that the first eight books were available on kindle unlimited, I decided to grab them. I loved the first book a lot back then, and reading the rest of the series feels like I'm accomplishing the goals of my kid self.......more

This is the second book in this series, but it was the first one I read. I was confused, because it was the second book. When I read it again while reading the series in the proper order, I was less confused but I liked this book less. It was because this is the first book where Kara narrates. I don’......more
