Christopher Moore is a literary mischief-maker, delighting readers with his signature blend of satire, absurdity, and heart. With a career spanning over three decades, he's the mind behind cult classics like Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal, Practical Demonkeeping, and A Dirty Job. Moore's novels often straddle the line between the sacred and the profane, delivering laugh-out-loud moments alongside surprisingly profound insights. Hailing from Toledo, Ohio, and having dabbled in everything from rock band roadie to insurance broker, he brings a unique everyman charm to his fantastical tales. When he's not writing, Moore splits his time between exploring quirky small towns and tormenting his social media followers with puns.
It took me longer than usual to get into this book, but once I did, I thought it was very funny. If you have kids, don't listen to it around them. The language and some of the content is not for children.
This book had me lol from page one. It's a great book to relax with and enjoy. I love a book that will leave me with a smile on my face.

As if upbringing wasn´t hard enough, a metaphysical, forced second job doesn´t really make it any easier. It would be interesting to know where Pratchett took his inspiration for DEATH and if Moore was inspired by him, very probably, or by some other author who thought that personifying death or maki......more

It seems to me that Moore wants to be a cross between Stephen King and Dave Barry, and for the first half of this book, he nearly succeeds. But once he reaches the midway point, he falls into the trap of trying to squeeze in every one-liner he can -- the result is that all of his characters end up s......more
