Kwame Alexander is a poet, an educator, and the New York Times bestselling author of more than thirty-five books, including his Newbery Medal–winning middle grade novel The Crossover. "Booked" was poetry. A lot of poetry. This book was talking about Nicholas Hall, a boy in eighth grade who has a life that's quite similar like everyone else's.
