About B.D. Cottleston

B.D. Cottleston is the pretend name of a real writer who wants to leave it to listeners to enjoy these stories without worrying about what they were thinking when they were written. As a life-long fan of Winnie the Pooh, this author picked this pen name to celebrate the spirit of Pooh’s greatest rhyme. As Pooh might say: "Cottleston, Cottleston, Cottleston pie. A fly can’t bird, but a bird can fly. Ask who B.D. is and we’ll reply: Cottleston, Cottleston, Cottleston pie."

I feel like an idiot because I had this on my to-read list for awhile assuming by the cover art that “Ana Dalt” was maybe a suffragette I hadn’t heard of and was excited someone made a picture book for kids (and adults… or Ana Dalt) to learn about her. Turns out it’s just a play on words. Cute idea.......more

A very cute take on a young child who doesn't realize things for Ana Dalt, are really just for an adult. Fun illustrations will have children wondering until the end. Perhaps an adult will tell them what it really means.......more

Some funny, clever wordplay in this book--kids have mistaken the words "an adult" with a name of a nonexistent person, "Ana Dalt," and continue to express their frustrations that only Ana gets to enjoy all these fun things.......more
