Reads like a modern day police hunt. However I did enjoy the use of the railroad, the army and the marshalls that kept the peace. I am still too much of a Louis L'Amour fan to have more to say about this book. It does want me to research some of the crimes committed in the book to see if they are true.......more

Though certainly a better of Mountain Man tales, this one also regurgitates far too many scenes from past tales...and tales to come.
