Two Kinds of Uncertainty

There are two very different kinds of uncertainty; there is what we might call ‘objective’ uncertainty---uncertainty about the reality of some state of affairs or event. And there is ‘subjective’ uncertainty—uncertainty about one’s ability or willingness to make the changes demanded to oneself by some objective state of affairs.
