Synopsis
Twenty years later, after successful careers in the public and corporate sectors, Greg was drawn to the remote Kimberley region of Western Australia. There, seated on the red earth with traditional Nyikina elder Lulu—an esteemed senior Law-keeper with deep knowledge and shaman-like powers—Greg entered a relationship that reshaped his life. Lulu’s conception totem was the Rainbow Serpent.
Concerned by escalating threats to Country and the planet’s future, Lulu asked Greg to live and work with him and the Goolarabooloo people to write one book. He felt that by bringing to the surface the Original Knowledge—ways of understanding life, relationship, responsibility, and balance carried by the First Peoples of Australia for more than 65,000 years—people could see the world through new lenses, opening innovative pathways to return things to balance.
Total Reset draws attention to the crossroad humanity has reached after 5,000 years of division, extraction and destruction. At a time marked by widening inequality, persistent conflict, ecological breakdown, and expanding digital controls, the book explores what it might take to restore the unfettered spirit of life.
Total Reset casts light on ecological crisis solutions, environmental philosophy, systems change, human consciousness awakening, bioregional governance, rights of nature, a holistic living, and the application of ancient wisdom to modern times.
