Synopsis

In the sixth book in Stephan Pastis's hilarious series, Timmy is being threatened and must rely on his new partner to solve the mystery - and possibly save his life! Stephan Pastis is the creator of the syndicated comic strip Pearls Before Swine, which appears in over 800 newspapers. He is also the creator of the Timmy Failure book series and the cowriter of the Disney+ movie Timmy Failure: Mistakes Were Made. He lives in Northern California with his wife and two kids.

4 STARS!!! This one was definitely funnier than the last 3. I enjoyed the introduction to some new characters and the mysteries that were thrown at Timmy during this story. A new sidekick and location do nothing to impair the quality or slow down the action. It feels a bit pompous to say so about a children's book, but Timmy is more nuanced, fragile, and real than many protagonists in more serious, adult oriented literature.......more
