Michael Crichton (1942-2008) was the author of the bestselling novels The Terminal Man, The Great Train Robbery, Jurassic Park, Sphere, Disclosure, Prey, State of Fear, Next and Dragon Teeth, among many others. Wilson earned a PhD in Robotics from Carnegie Mellon University, as well as master’s degrees in Artificial Intelligence and Robotics. I love this story. I never tire of listening just one more time. It has adventure, moving into adifferent time, danger.. Wow, it has it all. This abridged version is quite abridged and a bit disappointing after having heard it unabridged. It misses 5 stars only because it is abridged. I've just written Booksfree an email asking them to add the unabridged version to the library. That said, I encourage anyone to finish this story and not find themself pondering what if.. a week later.

This was the first Crichton novel I read, which is probably to his advantage. I knew it was fiction, so I was able to pick it up and cruise right through it.
