Synopsis

This is Gonna Hurt is music, photography, and life through the distorted lens of Nikki Sixx, bassist for heavy metal rock band Mötley Crüe’s and the New York Times bestselling author of The Heroin Diaries. A combination of powerful prose and dramatic photographs, This is Gonna Hurt is an arresting, deeply personal look through the eyes of a real rock star at a stark, post-addiction world.

About Nikki Sixx

Born Frank Feranna, Nikki Sixx grew up in Seattle and moved to Los Angeles at the age of seventeen. There, in 1981, he became the bassist for Mötley Crüe, the legendary rock band he started with Vince Neil, Mick Mars, and Tommy Lee. Today he is the New York Times bestselling author of The Heroin Diaries and This Is Gonna Hurt, and a coauthor of the Mötley Crüe book, The Dirt. Nikki Sixx is also a nationally syndicated radio host of Sixx Sense, writer, artist, photographer, and still loyal member of the Crüe.

I got "This is Gonna Hurt" in the mail yesterday and started reading it at 9pm. I was done by 11:45 pm that same night. He tells you from the start that "Thi......more

Let's be honest, I would never have read this were he not my first crush. He comes across as intelligent and thoughtful as he does in all his books but I am not sure what to make of this book. It's part memoir and while he claims to be "over" his issues (one which is exactly the same as mine - NO NO......more
