The female reader is possibly more to blame than the author. The main female character was unrealistic and never seemed to have any emotions. I dreaded each time she was focused on, which was every other chapter. I was not particulalry enthralled with male character but the reading was better. I realized that I should just give up when I looked down and realized that I was only on CD No. 6 and I audibly groaned.
What I love about Robert Alexander is the fantastic historical detail he includes in his novels.
