Synopsis

“You can’t help but fall in love with Lynsay Sands!”
—Christina Dodd Once again, New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Lynsay Sands displays another side of her extraordinary talent with The Hellion and the Highlander, a sensuous and wonderfully witty love story set in the breathtaking countryside of Scotland. The tremendously popular author of the Argeneau paranormal vampire romance series, Sands is equally adept at historical romance, as she demonstrates in her third Highland romp, perfect for fans of Julie Garwood, Jill Barnett, and Teresa Medieros—and a delightful companion to her own Devil of the Highlands and Taming the Highland Bride.

About Lynsay Sands

I have always heard avid readers (or listeners, in the case of audio books) say that one of their happiest times is getting lost in a good book. But, it never occurred to me that the writers of books feel the same way. Ontario, Canada born author Lynsay Sands has just that feeling when she writes. She says it may be that writers are secret control freaks, getting to make "God-like" decisions such as who is good or evil, who lives or dies, who is successful or not in every story. One satisfaction is making sure the good guys win and the bad guys get their punishment....... that does not always happen in real life. Sands says writers are also dreamers who get to make a living doing their dreaming.

Sands favorite genre is writing about vampires. As a matter of fact, she would not mind being one. She imagined being one as she wrote her books, all of which have a touch of her good sense of humor. She promised the vampire community that she would not reveal too much or use real names. But then, as she got into her writing, she did not keep her promise, and found it humorous to go back on your word to a bunch of vampires.

Sands has been writing Paranormal Romance books for several years, but not since 1142, the year she claimed to be born, as a vampire. She likes to explain......."that's what books are; waking dreams or stories, tales to amuse, entertain and distract us from everyday life".

OMG !!! I loved this book so much that I ranted about it for DAYS !!! After a surprise read from another series (Brenda Joyce's Masters of Time) I have been completely obsessed with all things Highlander. Whenever I get a book in the mail, my hubby will look at me as if to say "So babe, what is it?......more

Is it good or bad when the best you can say about the book is: "It's ok.'? Some would say it's not a glowing recommendation but when you have read as many bad bodice riper novels as me... *shudders* The Hellion and the Highlander didn't blow my mind or dazzle me with sizzling chemistry but it was a......more

This was a decent book, though it strayed a bit too far into the hokey supposed-to-be-fun scenarios that always make me roll my eyes. The hero and heroine were decent if uninspiring and the mystery provided a reasonable way to keep the plot moving. I just wasn't terribly moved by Kade and Averill's......more

Lady Averill Has been paraded before more men than she can count by her father who despairs of finding a husband for her because of her red hair and devil mark(Birthmark.) She instead, works to help a wounded Scottish nobleman her brother brought home from the Cursades with him. She saves Kade's lif......more

This one wasn't as amzing as the previous two. The story is great and so is the character but I wanted to know what Kade will do meeting his sister or what Merry baby sex is. Sorry but not having my answers made me hate the book at the end even though I enjoyed it.......more
