The new friendship of the three girls is lucky for Laura, too; her new guardian Mr. Aborn doesn’t seem right somehow, and she confides in Nancy that she thinks he’s evil. The world’s favorite teen-detective jumps on the case, spying on Mr. Aborn’s bungalow in the woods to discover what sort of ulterior motives are guiding his actions.
