Synopsis
TAXI SHOP is created from a children's picture book. Every parent knows that children often get bored with their old toys...until someone else wants them. Listen as Nora and her father go through this very familiar childhood drama as they travel through space in a taxi selling used goods. For ages 3 - 8. Written in beautiful melodic Jamaican Patois, TAXI SHOP is the first audiobook from Yu-airit Audio Works.
“It will likely take more than one listen to grasp this story for those who are not familiar with Jamaican patois, but it’s worth the effort to listen to its joyous delivery and musicality.”
– Audiofile Magazine
“The narrators use a Jamaican patois to relate the story, which includes a repeating, singsong verse as they arrive at each stop and rhythmic rhyming text throughout. The brevity of the tale, an all-too-familiar childhood theme, and the delightful melodic vocal presentation make this a fun choice for a quick bedtime story.”
