New Levels, New Devils

When the daughter of New York’s most notorious serial killer begins a deadly reign of her own, the detective who caught her mother must return to the one woman who may know how to stop her in this engrossing debut by Page.

Dallas Knight is New York City’s most notorious serial killer.

Convicted of more than one hundred murders, her reign of terror was so brutal that it helped bring the death penalty back to New York, making Dallas the first woman in the state scheduled for execution.

After three grueling years spent hunting her, Detective Rice can finally close the darkest chapter of his career. Until the eve of Dallas Knight’s execution. One hundred guests and twenty staff members are poisoned and found dead inside a prominent Manhattan hotel. A message taped to the front desk changes everything.

This is only the beginning.

—Tempest Knight

Rice knows the name. More importantly, he knows what it means. The nightmare isn’t over.

Dallas Knight’s estranged daughter has emerged from the shadows, and her first act proves she has no intention of living quietly in her mother’s wake. With no clear motive, no established pattern, and no way to know where Tempest will strike next, Rice suddenly finds himself hunting a killer he knows almost nothing about. Only one person might know enough to help him . . . the mother of the new monster, Dallas Knight.

With the body count threatening to rise, Rice is forced to return to the woman whose mind consumed three years of his life. But Dallas Knight isn’t to be trusted, and getting close to Tempest means entering a twisted game of secrets, manipulation, and deadly encounters, where every answer uncovers another question and another body. The deeper Rice goes, the harder it becomes to tell whether Dallas is helping him catch her daughter or leading him exactly where the Knights want him.
