Synopsis

Tiger Ann Parker is smart in school and good at baseball, but she's forever teased about her family by the girls in class. Tiger Ann knows her folks are different from others in their small town of Saitter, Louisiana. They are mentally slow, and Tiger Ann keeps her pain and embarrassment hidden as long as her strong and smart Granny runs the household. About The Author

Kimberly Willis Holt is the author of Piper Reed, Navy Brat, also available on audio from Listening Library; several award-winning novels, including My Louisiana Sky; Keeper of the Night; and When Zachary Beaver Came to Town, which received the National Book Award, as well as the picture books Waiting for Gregory and Skinny Brown Dog. The daughter of a navy chief, Ms. Holt lived all over the world as a child, and now resides in West Texas with her family.
