I dived into this second book in the Granny Reid series and didn't find myself floundering so I'd give it a thumbs up as a series you can read out of order. (Though I'm still going to go back and read book 1 -- it just had a longer hold at my library.) Definitely a cozy mystery...but a bit more too.......more
