Donna Hill began her career in 1987 writing short stories, and her first novel was published in 1990. She is now an Essence bestselling author with more than fifty published titles to her credit, several adapted for television. Donna has been featured in Essence, the New York Daily News, USA Today, Black Enterprise, and other publications.
Cary Hite has performed in several theaters across the country as a cast member in the longest-running African American play in history, The Diary of Black Men. He also appeared in Edward II, Fences, Macbeth, Good Boys, Side Effects May Vary, and the indie feature The City Is Mine. Dang, I couldn't put this book down. It must have had much to do with New York City. I loved this story of Alexis and Graham Stone. Being abandoned by a mother is absurd. Finding peace and forgiveness is righteous. Falling in love rocks.......more

This book was different. It was not very interesting to me. I listened to it on audible, and the narrators voice was not appealing. The story line was decent. I don't know. This book just wasn't my style. I don't even really understand the significance of the title........more
