I'm giving this five stars just because, while it isn't excellent, it's light years better than the one on John. A much more engaging story, and better writing; even if you didn't care for the first book in this series, you might want to give this one a try.......more

I don't know if the point of this book was to make non-Bible readers read a "Mark-light" version of the Gospel but over half of this book is just Peter telling Mark what Mark wrote down.
