Young takes inspiration from the romantic planetary adventures of an earlier era and sends its characters toward an encounter where fantasy and reality begin to collide. Before Eden by Arthur C. Clarke follows explorers on Venus as they make a discovery that could transform our understanding of life beyond Earth. But their excitement may blind them to the consequences of their arrival.X Marks the Pedwalk by Fritz Leiber imagines a future where the familiar battle between pedestrians and automobiles has escalated into something far more dangerous. Leiber turns everyday city life into sharp, darkly humorous science fiction. From an eerily empty New York to the surface of Venus and the dangerous streets of tomorrow, Lost Sci-Fi Books 196 thru 200 delivers five distinctive journeys from an unforgettable era of science fiction.

About Isaac Asimov

Isaac Asimov began writing his Foundation series at the age of twenty-one, not realizing that it would one day be considered a cornerstone of science fiction. During his legendary career, Asimov penned over 470 books on subjects ranging from science to Shakespeare to history, though he was most loved for his award-winning science fiction sagas, which include the Robot, Empire, and Foundation series. Named "Grand Master of Science Fiction" by the Science Fiction Writers of America, Asimov entertained and educated readers of all ages for close to five decades. He died, at the age of seventy-two, in April 1992.
