Synopsis

Isolation, darkness, and rotting flesh, Surrounds me, suffocates me, But I am the vile ruler who controls it all. I long for warmth, Yet, all that I touch, Is cold. Then, she stumbles in to my domain, Lost and frightened, Alone and confused. And I terrify her even more. She calls me the devil, So I show her pleasure, Like only the devil can. I am the heat that stirs her flesh, The longing that trembles her bone. She begs her body to refuse, To escape my embrace, But I am her master, The puppeteer of passion. I am the King of Flesh and Bone. Welcome to my court, little one. King of Flesh and Bone is a full-length dark fantasy novel, the first book in The Pale Court duet. The two-part story features a ruthless man, the woman who can't escape his love, and a Happily Ever After. This world contains dark themes, violence, loss, and elements of horror some may find disturbing. What this book doesn't contain is a hero—because villains do it better.

Holy Stockholm batman! Beautifully written and blissfully erotic, this story is told through the multifaceted point of view by Ada and Enosh. It is the exploration of the flaw built into the flawless. It proves the humanity of those wronged (even they aren't human) yet seen as evil. It is the delicate unraveling of a past neither the reader nor narrator fully understand. King of flesh and bone is one of those story's that takes the narrative concept of romance and tears it apart into pieces. Its the disemboweling of a love story brought to its core, lust and need, compromise and promise. this story hits a lot of high notes... but this king isn't crowned as a dark fantasy romance for nothing. and its flaws fall as low as its peaks rise. It divulges heavily into dubcon in many ways people may be uncomfortable with. Its "fruitful" language is used overtly and far too heavily with monotone repetition of the same word over and over and over and... you get it. And as in my opener, there is a serious air of Stockholm syndrome emanating from every line in this book. The male VA Gregory Salinas dose a phenomenal job using his gravel to punctuate the control freak Enosh is during his narrative pieces. Overall it is a well written "romance" fantasy that suffers from its taboo contents lack of dictional variance. P.S: I recommend reading this at work, it's hilarious
