Synopsis

In this audiobook – jennings starts the second half of the Christmas term by accidentally setting his india rubber (eraser) on fire, it seems the residents of Linbury Court are going to have an exciting few weeks. Along with High Fidelity Telephonic Communication (or two tins and a piece of string), the ‘Affair of the Assistant Masterpiece’ and Jennings suddenly becoming a musical prodigy, Old Wilkie is definitely not going to get the peace and quiet he was hoping for. Mouldy chizz!

Fossilised fishooks, Jennings is a perpetual delight. During a difficult few days Buckeridge's 4 handers (two masters; two boys) make for a welcome distraction. As I always tell my pupils, when writing a story don't introduce too many charcaters: the thunderous Mr Wilkins, intuitive Mr Carter, the d......more
