Jenny Valentine studied English literature at Goldsmiths College, which almost put her off reading, but not quite. Her debut novel, Me, the Missing, and the Dead, was a Morris Award finalist in America and won the Guardian Children's Fiction Prize in the United Kingdom under the title Finding Violet Park. I saw this book in the library and decided to check it out. And am I glad I did, because this story was really cute and also very funny. Poor parents.
