My thoughts: Gutcheon has a solid writing style and POV. I really have no strong opinions one way or the other with this book. I loved this book and could not stop reading it - a smart contemporary Edith Wharton mini-saga. Love Gutcheon's writing in general - her books have long been favorites. Then why not 4 stars?
