This series has been going steadily downhill for a while now. I don't even buy them anymore, and I gave away all the books I had. Goldy must be the most accident prone caterer there is! Does she have to be injured/knocked out/threatened every single book? And I have more than enough of her thoroughly obnoxious teenage son. This is just more of the same.

Yes, I am addicted to Diane Mott Davidson, even though the plots are thin, the writing confusing, the motivations unreadable, the characters unbelievable, and each chapter utterly predictable. You get to read about cooking and good food! Every book comes with recipes! If only she was a good writer,......more

Found this a little tedious, but because the characters are "old friends" and I like the recipes, I stuck with it. Not one of the better ones in the series.......more

I keep trying to like Goldy, but she wears thin very quickly. She's got the victim mentality that grates on my nerves, like the whole world is out to get her, nothing going right. Yet, she keeps putting up with crap from clients and others like the good little doormat she is. I don't get it. Are we......more
