Every Then and Now
Reflections on the Miracles of Jesus

What did the boy whose lunch fed thousands tell his mum when he got home?
What did the woman who touched Jesus’ cloak feel the instant everything changed?
What did the paralysed man’s friends say as they daringly lowered him through the roof?

Every Then and Now recounts the miracles of Jesus through the eyes of those who experienced them. Inviting us to pause
a while with those affected, paired poems – a ‘then’ before the miracle, and a ‘now’ after – explore the deep significance
and lasting impact of these transformational encounters. For Jesus’ healings and miracles were not merely physical, but were profound acts of social, emotional and spiritual restoration.
Spanning the Gospel miracles, the resurrection and Pentecost, this collection reveals a story still unfolding, with reflections, questions and devotional prompts inviting readers to encounter these moments afresh and to consider what they might mean today.
