About Immanuel Velikovsky

Immanuel Velikovsky (1895-1979) was a Russian independent scholar who wrote a number of books reinterpreting the events of ancient history, in particular the US bestseller Worlds in Collision, published in 1950. Earlier, he had played a role in the founding of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in Israel, and was a psychiatrist and psychoanalyst.

Even though many of the ideas (if not all) in this book have been since disproved, it is still interesting to see the views of the time and the reasoning behind them.
