But it Never Came

Centuries have passed since humanity broke free of Earth's constraints and began exploring the Milky Way. Our solar system has been mapped and explored, but what lies beyond? Are we the only intelligent life in the vast universe? Exploration ships constantly search for new habitable planets or signs of life, but this is no easy task. Ships frequently malfunction or are attacked. The Central Earth Government (CEG) dispatches task forces comprised of trained soldiers, engineers, and medical personnel, such as the crew of the "Otago," to rescue those stranded in space.Recently, a spacecraft detected a distress signal in a distant ocean area known to have been reached by other ships. The "Otago" was dispatched to investigate the source of the signal. The crew, who have been in cryogenic hibernation for over a year, are about to be awakened to begin their mission. No one knows what they will find, but they can only pray that they arrive in time to rescue all survivors on this mysterious ship.
