Synopsis

Bred by capricious parents for his innate leopard-shifting abilities, billionaire Jake Bannaconni has spent his life in an emotional vacuum—especially after a tragic twist of fate left him to raise his infant son alone. But when his path crosses that of an enigmatic young woman, Jake’s life takes a detour he never fathomed. There is something irresistible about Emma Reynolds—something Jake can’t live without. Hiring her as his son’s nanny will keep her close. And warm. And under watch. She’s the first human to stir something in Jake, something he’s never felt before. But Emma may not be at all what she seems. And what’s raging between them is pure animal instinct—out of control, burning wild, and as hot as the lick of a flame.

Author Bio

How many times do we hear of anyone following exactly the career path that they always dreamed of? For author, Christine Feehan, the dream came true. She talks about how she always wanted to be a writer, as far back as she can remember. She began writing at a very early age, and required her sisters to read each of her works before being sent to a publisher. Currently, her daughters help with that job......to edit and critique the work before it is submitted for publication. That is called literally, keeping it all in the family.

Feehan has always loved family time. She came from a huge family and she and her husband, Richard, had a blended family with 11 children. She is a strong advocate of women helping each other. During one period in her life, she learned self-defense, then taught it to women who had been abused.

Feehan is a consistent #1 New York Times bestselling author, with over 70 published novels. These also include five series....... Dark Series, Ghostwalker Series, Leopard Series, Drake Sisters Series, the Sisters of the Heart Series, and Torpedo Ink. In her own words......."I've been a writer all my life......it is who I am. I write for myself and always have."

Latest installment of Christine Feehan a great read. Couldn't put it down. Love her books. Facinated by whole breed premise.

I don't know why I bother reading Christine Feehan anymore. Her books have taken a huge decline over the years and this is the worst ever! One problems in all of her books: her page count is high but she has NOTHING to say. It's like reading the same two chapters over and over and over but nothing new is revealed or happens. Burning Wild did not hold my interest at all. Jake was a manipulative sociopath and I never found anything remotely likable about him. Emma had the personality and spine of a dish towel. Even the everyday parts of this story home life, etc were completely un-believable. I couldn't get on board with the characters and didn't buy into ANYTHING they were doing or experiencing. I read the first few paragraphs of the first love used very loosley scene and then skipped it and all of the rest because they were so awful in every way possible. I could be like the author and keep going on and on and on and on but I'll spare you any further rants. This was just horrible - nuff said.
