Synopsis

In Erin Beaty's medieval YA fantasy thriller, Blood and Moonlight, an orphan with a secret, magical sight gets caught between a mysterious genius and the serial killer he’s hunting.

Rising above the city of Collis is the holy Sanctum. And watching over its spires is Catrin, an orphan girl with unique skills—for she alone can spot the building’s flaws in construction before they turn deadly.

But when Catrin witnesses a murderer escaping the scene of his crime, she’s pulled into the web of a dangerous man who will definitely strike again. Assigned to capture the culprit is the mysterious, brilliant, and enigmatic Simon, whose insights into the mind of a killer are frighteningly accurate.

As the grisly crimes continue, Catrin finds herself caught between murderer and detective while hiding her own secret—a supernatural sight granted by the moon, destined to make her an outcast, and the only thing that might save her and those she loves from becoming the next victims...

Very Good. Are you currently in reader's block? Then pick this baby up right now. Not only do you get a beautiful fantasy story that just sucks you right in, but you also get a cool medieval mystery twist as well. I loveddd that the romance wasn't the main plot of the story, but just very nicely on the side. I love how the delicate writing style was put together in a very interesting way. If you love a good interesting read, pick this book up right now and dig right in. I'm head over heels for Cat, she's what I love in my women characters, smart and strong. Two beautiful things I adore. I can't even put into words for how deeply I feel for this book, you're just going to have to jump right into it to really understand. While reading this book I actually got a more mature vibe of cassandra clare kind of writing style. The cover certainly drew me in, and it's very eye catching and pretty to look at. Anyways get out there and read this book, you won't be disappointed!
