Synopsis

New York Times bestselling author Carl Weber delivers down-and-dirty fiction about family and tumultuous relationships. In this sequel to Something on the Side, Weber pens the further exploits of curvy ladies who want it all—and get more than they bargained for.

Sisters Isis and Egypt kiss the Big Apple goodbye and launch a new chapter of the Big Girls Book Club in Richmond, Virginia. You’ve got to be at least a size 14 to join, but this time, the former ladies-only club is welcoming a chunky (and very male) player into its ranks. And that’s not the only drama. Isis wants a baby with hubby Rashid—who just
happens to have been Egypt’s man for the better part of a decade.

Big Girls Do Cry strikes all the right chords as Weber continues to produce today’s funniest, bawdiest, most engaging fiction. Acclaimed narrators deliver the author’s riveting tale with all the swagger of Weber’s compulsively readable prose.

Let me first explain two things before writing this review: I was betwixed and between with do I read "Something on the Side" first or this one. I love Carl Weber books, but this one was just okay for me. I like how he uses a different POV for each chapter to build suspense, but in this book that got annoying. I felt like I was standing on a ledge ready to jump and although the book didn't push me, it didn't convince me to live either.......more

There were some things I expected to happen, other things, threw me for a......more
