2.75-3 Perfectly ok. The writing is good, but the characters are so bland. Eliza's and Hugh's conversations were completely unforgettable (I've got no highlights in this book). The story lacks bite, wit and some rough edges. I wasn't bored, but it will be very easily forgotten.......more

This is second in a series that has a lot of overlap in the timeline. So you learn what the events of the first book look like from the outside, to an extent.
